The Emtek EM28PSL238S is a 28-degree passage door latch for compatible Emtek passage knobs and levers. Its 28 mechanism requires less handle rotation to retract the latch than Emtek’s standard 45 latch. This non-adjustable model has a fixed 2-3/8 backset and a square-corner faceplate.

Use this latch to restore non-locking passage operation when the existing Emtek hardware uses the same 28 mechanism, backset, and faceplate preparation. It is not a universal retrofit for standard or otherwise incompatible latch mechanisms.
